What Is The Best Console For Christmas
With Christmas just round the corner, many children will be asking for a new games console this year. But which one should you choose? With the 3 main next generation consoles, the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii, all competing against each other, which one is the right one to get?
Lets start with the Xbox 360. After a price reduction is September, you can grab an Xbox 360 for £130, making it the cheapest of all 3 consoles. But, for the £130 you only get the arcade system which does not comes with a hard drive, so, what about the console bundles. As for the arcade system, you can get 3 games and 2 wireless controllers for less than £160. As for the middle of the range console, you can get a premium console which contains a 60GB hard drive, 3 games and 2 wireless controllers for £200. And if you want to go the full way and get the Xbox 360 Elite console that comes with a 120GB hard drive aswell as high definition cables included, you can get a bundle with 3 games and 2 wireless controllers for £260.
Overall the Xbox 360 is a good console, with many exclusive games including Fable, the Halo and Gears of War series. Also, with a massive online community, it's perfect for any family.
Next, the Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo Wii is a great family console, with many fun and family interactive games that will keep the young kids entertained for hours. The standard console will cost £180 and for a bundle, which contains the console, 2 controllers, 2 nunchucks and 4 games, £270.
Overall, the Nintendo Wii is a great console, with a huge range of child and family fun games, it's great for all ages.
The final console on the list is the Playstation 3, this is also the newest next gen console, aswell as the most exspensive. Although the Playstation and Xbox are very similar, the Playstation has one hardware benefit, it features a Blu-ray DVD player. Also, in the last few days, Sony released their new online community, Playstation Home, which is free for all Playstation owners.
As for the console price, the standard console which includes a 40GB hard drive will cost just under £295. As for a bundle, you can get a Playstation console with an 80GB hard drive and 4 games for prices that range between £296 and £313.
Obviously the Playstation 3 is the most exspensive of the 3, but I would not say it's the best value for money. Although the console is similar to the Xbox 360, the Playstation gets less exclusive content than the Xbox, however, with the Playstation, you get free access to the Playstation Network, whereas you have to pay for Xbox Live.
Finally, I would say that the Xbox 360 is the best console if you're playing solo and for online gaming, but if you are after a more family console, the Nintendo Wii is the best.
Caribbean Holidays and All Inclusive Holidays are perfect for this Winter.
