Weight Loss Through Exercise

In order to shed some pounds, a person must figure out a proper fitness regimen. It helps to control your weight by using excess calories that otherwise would be stored as fat. Physical activity also helps prevent many diseases and improve your overall health.
How much a person weighs is a result of how much food they take in compared to how much energy they use at any given time. Everything you eat contains calories, and everything you do uses calories, including sleeping, breathing, and digesting food. When the goal is to shed some pounds you have to limit you caloric intake, while you increase your caloric output. It is possible to eat less and not to have to exercise more, or a person can opt to do both of these things. However, it is possible to lose weight while maintaining the same calorie consumption by including calorie-burning exercise in your daily schedule.
A lot of people are told they can expect to lose up to two pounds of fat each week with a program of regular aerobic exercise and some do, but a lot of people fail to see anything in the way of meaningful results, even after months of doing six pack ab exercises every day. Many people blame themselves for the lack of success. Does your body not burn the calories as fast as it should? Are you getting older and burning calories at a slower rate?~Is it because you are not as young as you were and your body is not as efficient?~Has your body changed as you aged not allowing you to reach your goals?} Is it in your genes? You stick to the program, and still you don’t lose any weight. It is because conventional aerobic exercise programs are not a particularly effective way to drop the pounds. Aerobic exercise alone is not a very effective way to lose weight and it is definitely not for someone who wants to know how to lose weight fast since an average person only loses about seven pounds over a fifteen week aerobic exercise program. Dieting alone over that time period caused an average weight loss of seventeen pounds. Working out is not the answer to a dieters problem by itself.
In order to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you eat. Unfortunately, you just don’t burn that many calories with a typical aerobic exercise program. It takes about thirty five hundred calories for a person to lose a single pound. If you chose to lose weight through exercise alone, you would have to use up 3500 extra calories every week to lose anything at all. To lose fat at a decent rate (around two pounds per week) you’d need to burn 1000 extra calories per day. And the type of workout that burns 1000 calories, in terms of both time and effort, is not a realistic goal for most people.
Using a fitness regimen to get fit and trim is almost a full time job unto itself. Despite the advertisements, there is not a miracle five minute workout that will burn enough calories. There are workouts that can produce the results that a person wants with exercise alone, but they require a tremendous effort by the individual. If this is what a person wants than they need to find a support structure such as the ones that can be found on the biggest loser forum in order to stay motivated. For those who really want to lose weight they need to use a combination of various types of exercise and they need to eat sensibly.

Working out can be beneficial to a person. Getting out and doing cardio will help improve a person’s health. A health spa can give both your body and your mind a workout as you interact with the other members of the healthy club. But exercise alone is not enough. In order to drop the pounds and get your body into the shape that it should be, you need to control your workouts and what you eat.
