The Early Period of the Golden State Translators

The area of land that is now California has always been characterized by its many languages and nationalities. It goes without saying that within the state of California, one can find an abundance of translation professionals who are proficient in nearly any language and subject.

Because San Francisco is ideally located; it has always been at an excellent location for commerce and trade. As a result, San Francisco has been able to attract immigrants from all over the world. With an intercontinental personality, the city demonstrates characteristics of nearly every society in the world including Hispanic, Korean and Chinese. Unlike other cities, San Francisco has quarters that focus on Italians, Koreans, Italians, Chinese and Hispanics. Chinatown, at the foot of Nob Hill, covers some twelve city blocks, and with its temples, rich bazaars, picturesque colors and customs, it is one of the most interesting areas of the city. The earthquake of 1906 had destroyed nearly all birth records in the city and allowed Chinese-born men to claim that they were American citizens. Just like San Francisco, San Jose offers a wide variety of exciting cultural, recreational, educational and entertainment opportunities. When visitors take a short drive from San Francisco, they can visit another international city of San Jose that features nice weather, ethnic diversity and more fun and excitement. This area was founded in 1777 when the village at Santa Clara was established and in 1797 the village of San Jose was founded. With a population of over 1-million people, San José is the third largest city in California and is the 10th largest city in the U.S. Toward the middle of the 1800′s the area that is now San Jose grew to 775 people. Historians are quick to point out that even during San Jose’s early days the area had a unique Hispanic culture. Although Mexico lost California and the Mexican soldiers retreated back into Mexico, that didn’t stop the settlement of San Jose from growing and prospering into the major U.S. city that it is today. This was partly due to the success of San Jose Translator. The town was occupied by the forces of the United States in July 1846; and a skirmish with the natives occurred in its vicinity in January 1847. Just three years after a short skirmish with Indians, San Jose was deemed a city and classified as the state’s capital.

Unlike San Francisco and San Jose, San Diego is a metropolitan area located in southern California. The original Spanish settlement of San Diego isn’t too far away from the main commerce section of the city and can be jogged to from downtown. This area was always multilingual because of its closeness to Mexico and the fact that it changed hands numerous times. Indeed, San Diego Translation service has grown and moved with the city. By 1867 the population of the city had decreased so considerably, that a land developer laid out a new city about 3 miles south of the old town. San Diego is now known as the new section that was planned way back in the 1860′s.
