Everyone needs some calm music like solo piano music from time to time. Combined with relaxing activities such as sleep, a warm bath or sunset viewing, musical sounds can definitely take away the knots on your nerves. If you’re on the lookout for great sounds to use on your chill out time, there are six kinds that are highly recommended.
Natural Tunes
The sounds of water gushing, birds twittering and wind blowing incorporated into musical compositions are popularly used for relaxation because they promote peaceful mental images. Listening to them transports listeners to actual nature scenes or locations. In some cases though, natural tunes that carry the sounds of rain or thunder can be used primarily not to create images but to block out unwelcome sounds such as the humming of the refrigerator at night. It is also a musical approach punctuated by such elements as swing notes, blue notes and improvisation. These generally help produce a variety of emotions that lead to relaxation.

Conventional tribal music is often punctuated by repetitive beats. These are usually produced using such instruments as drums or bamboo. Depending on the country of origin, some are infused with metallic brass sounds. The repetitive nature of these sounds can help produce a regular internal rhythm that can help remove stress and anxiety.
Classical Masterpieces
Often, European pieces produced in the 18th to 19th centuries are considered classical compositions. In particular, works by such well known names as Schubert, Bach, Handel, Beethoven and Mozart are the ones considered classical masterpieces. Clearly, not all of these have consistently slow beats. They are still nonetheless perceived to be calming because they belong to an era that is refined, elegant and romantic.
