My friend’s daughter was recently married and moved far away to live with her new husband . Thankfully there is email, or else my friend would be devastated that her daughter is so far away . Mary’s son-in-law George is a very big sports fan. He especially loves baseball and follows every team from California. He goes to as many home games as he can. He travels throughout California to see the Chicago Cubs or MLB Tickets, to San Diego to see the Padres, to Oakland for the Athletics games, and also to San Francisco not to miss a Giants game. He owns his own business so he can travel as much as he wants and not necessarily have to take time off . Mary knows how much George loves going to baseball games and thought if she could get game tickets for him in her home town, every time a California team played there, George could bring Susan with him and she would have time to spend with her daughter while George enjoyed the game. Thankfully she went online and found very cheap tickets for all of them . George was thrilled with the thoughtfulness of mother-in-law and Mary and Susan with thrilled they would see each other more often.
I feel so great! I just made points with this new gal I met in the grocery store. We were both in the produce aisle and I innocently asked her if she knew the best way to pick out a cantaloupe. She assisted me generously in looking for cantaloupe . I didn’t see a ring on her finger so I figured it was safe to make conversation and see if I might have a chance at dating her. I noticed what was in her cart and asked for her opinion on a certain brand of frozen food. I enjoyed the conversation so much that we spoke for a long period of time in the middle of the store . Thankfully, the store is diverse and has a shop in the front for coffee and biscuits so after purchasing our groceries we sat and conversed . She readily accepted and we were there for another hour and a half. We really hit if off and were soon making plans to go to San Antonio Spurs play. I was amazed when she informed me that she had attempted the previous day to purchase tickets for the exact game . We exchanged numbers and gave each other a hug goodbye . After our amazing meeting I went home to search for San Antonio Spurs tickets. The best part of the day was me calling her to let her know I had tickets, I have never heard a girl so excited about anything . I think this is the start of something wonderful! The only thing that is wrong with this situation is that I dislike cantaloupe .
I never know what to get my twenty-eight year old niece for her birthday. She has so many clothes and of course, her taste is much different than mine and always changing. In the past I bought her the predictable presents such as jewelry or gift certificates, or little figurines . I am always trying to think up new ideas. This year I heard her talking about going to a special concert. She has never been to a concert of his, but has every single one of his CD’s . I guess she tried buying the tickets but apparently the box office was slammed that day . She tried all day but every time she called the only thing she heard was the beep beep beep of the busy signal, she was so upset that she couldn’t get through . I remembered my neighbor saying when ever they wanted tickets for a special event they would go to an on-line site that offers the best priced tickets possible for sport events, concerts, theaters and the like. They never had any problems purchasing tickets online and always got great seats . I decided I was going to get my niece the tickets, so I asked my neighbor to help me, so we went online and found them for a decent price, I was so excited! I couldn’t even describe how excited my niece was, it was the best birthday present I think I could have given her .
