There is an abundance of history and info out there in respect to the background and the beginnings of mountain biking, with some being perceived to be reliable and some that relies on who has the most effective firm of public relations.

Some are saying that mountain biking began with the Buffalo Soldiers, which was an infantry group which custom-built bikes to carry accessories over the rough and tough land.
