Guitar Strum Patterns – Down Up Right Or Left?
It’s always a cool thing to see one of your most liked players playing a cool lick or an impressive guitar solo. Not only it fits appropriately within the melody or chord progression, but they also make it look so easy and effortless! Most of the energy goes into good moves and abnormal facial expressions. Quite a few causes lead to this. Number 1, they composed the guitar solo. Seems obvious however when you come up with something by yourself it will always be simpler to play, when compared to figuring out someone else’s stuff.
Secondly, they have figured out appropriate co-ordination regarding the right and left hand. This allows them to shift their focus on to other aspects of their playing, like tone, fluency and you’ve guessed it… great rock moves!

So while not obvious, studying strum patterns for guitar and thereby learning the best way to control, position and move your right hand might just be what you need to be a rock star….other than rock moves that is!
