Have an open mind to tweak the existing soccer exercises and alter them to suit your requirements. For creating an effective soccer training program, I have shared some of my ideas.
Your plan should be accommodating. Not every plan will materialize as planned. It may rain, the kids may not turn up, or you may get sick. All the potential obstructions are listed ensure they are handled properly.
We should have plenty of planned soccer practice games. If there is any delay in executing the plan you can go to the next item by deleting it. You can learn what works with the kids by going along with them.
Make sure your kids warm up before every practice session. Apart from warming up the body by regular soccer drill the kids should use the soccer ball also. The kids should practice kicking the ball around between their feet’s and kick the ball around.
There are a variety of such free soccer drills that can warm up the players by way of a fun activity.
A soccer ball is made available to each of the soccer player. Using the ball the players planning should be done for many individual activities. The players should involve in activities such as shooting, dribbling and hitting the ball against the wall etc. No marking or lines should be made on the ground so that the movement of players shouldn’t be hindered.
In soccer coaching, after the individual activities are over, involve the players in some group activities. There is a lot of fun in drills like passing and receiving the balls. Let the kids play soccer in teams and without a goalkeeper. The players should be allowed to hit the goals without setting them any boundaries.
The players should be taught to defend after learning to attack. This style of coaching will enable the players to develop their own style.
It is mandatory the kids are grouped together as a team in group activities. Generally the kids will require some time to adjust to the concept of team play while shifting from individual to group activities. The role of the coach is to just guide the players.
Highlight the need to support each other in order to win matches. The biggest advantage of performing these exercises is that it teaches the players to practice in a limited area, not do too much with the ball, and also work as a team.
This is the easiest way to conduct a soccer exercise. Be innovative and integrate different free soccer drills which will be helpful to the kids to learn.
