Finest Of The Sedona, Arizona Music Scene. Check It Out.
They said it couldn’t be done. And who could actually blame them?
The project from hell, recording 11 songs from 11 different artists, largely, over a single weekend” was just MISSION Most unlikely. When we said to the musicians and even some veteran producers and engineers about our project, codenamed The Sedona Sessions, eyes rolled, heads veered off into the distance with skepticism, and one special LA producer put it this way.
“It just cannot be done in that time span. A single artist can spend a year in the studio, and you are telling me you are going to record 11 different songs by 11 different artist, over a weekend? Good luck. You are going to want it!”
A month later, the same guy took it upon himself to record the last song for the album. And Voila! The skeptic was converted into a believer.
In reality if it weren’t for all of the disbelievers, we may probably have given up as there were a plethora of technical snafus, scheduling conflicts, family crises, oh, and grossly inadequate funds, all of which were seriously demoralizing. Lets just say more than once the debate about packing it in looked like the most reasonable course of action.
So it’s no little miracle that you are even visiting this site, for The Sedona Sessions was ironically an enterprise powered by detractors.
Come to the site at Sedona music.
With a mix of adrenaline, desperation, and the right folks showing up at exactly the appropriate time, ended with the album you are hearing at Sedona music scene
I decisively believe that almost everyone who participated in The Sedona Sessions is a more rounded person for having persisted, and has discovered inner-strength and fortitude which will turn out to be a pivotal moment in their music careers.
But thats just half of the story.
The Sedona, Arizona Sessions is the soundtrack to the worlds first Multi media eBook / NovelCathedral of the Senses, for which all the songs and the novel itself were authored by mythical author, Stephen Smoke. ( Stephen has some 30 books under his belt ).
For years , Smoke, and plenty of others including myself, looked at the day when it would be possible to have their songs included inside their publications. That day has arrived, thanks largely to Apples iPad and the leveraging of its full capability for which Stephen also must be given important credit. In fact , it isn’t just technology, but what folks figure out what to do with it that allows for manifestation.
Or as guitar strummer and post-production mixing wizard, Mike Jung aptly remarked.
“I’m one of the first folks to play the guitar inside a book.”
So without regard for its business success, The Sedona Sessions / Cathedral of the Senses project, is indeed of great historic importance as Multimedia eBooks will definitely continue to obscure the barriers between the book and music publishing industries, while at the same time, breathing new life into both.
To this end, Sedona, and its many talented recording artists, musicians, and all of those that worked so rapaciously behind the curtain, have just made history.
