Different Types of London Tours
Taking one of the many different available types of London tours is probably the best way to get to know the UK’s capital city. Of course, there are as many different price tags for tours as there are tours themselves, but this allows tourists to find the tour that best suits their interests and budget.
London tours include the walking tour option. This option actually incorporates two different options. First of all is the obvious walking tour: visiting the places you’re interested in on foot, using a guidebook or recommendations from friends for reference. Of course this option is quite inexpensive and very flexible, compared to other types of tours. Nevertheless, it has the potential disadvantage of becoming lost or entering undesirable areas.
Another London tours walking option is the escorted, or guided option. Unlike tours of the entire city they tend to focus on localised areas, meaning that you get an in depth view of an area. But they do come at a price and the level of detail on these tours means that you’d struggle to see the whole city in this way unless time wasn’t an object.
The most popular London tours are bus tours. There are many companies operating buses on pre-determined routes and tickets allow passengers to get on and off the bus as and when they wish to explore an area. This is the ideal way to see most of the city, but it can be crowded or delayed and is relatively expensive. Despite these downsides the option remains popular and it is certainly worth giving London tours by bus a try. Don’t forget that many of the London tours companies can provide tours of the whole of England or the UK so that tourists can see more of the country in just a few short days.
