Club Penguin Parties: Medieval Party
One of the most entertaining activities on the web site Club Penguin is to visit the different events and parties that are planned. These parties are mostly scheduled once each month and almost always have a theme, such as the {Christmas,St. Patrick’s,April Fool’s} Party or the Halloween Party. But one of the biggest events of the year is the Club Penguin Medieval Party, which was first held in May of ’08 and is scheduled again for May, 2009. Almost all of the areas in Club Penguin are re-designed for the event and there are a lot of fun things players can do.
The first Medieval Party was held between May 16, 2008 and May 25, 2008. It was one of the biggest parties in Club Penguin history. Most of the rooms in the game were decorated. As with most parties on Club Penguin, one of the most popular things was the free item giveaway. In 2008, there were 2 pieces of clothing that penguins could have for free. The first free item was the Squire Tunic available at the Dock. The second free item was a wizard hat which was at the Lighthouse. The wizard hat was also given out in the Halloween ’06 Party.

Dragon in the Mines
One of the most popular attractions was a dragon that appeared inside the Mines. The Switchbox 3000 device, which normally appears at the Theatre Stage was relocated into the Mine to control the dragon.
Magic Mirror at the Mountain
At the Mountain there was a Magic Mirror which operated in a way similar to that of a “Magic 8″ ball.
Member Clothing
In the Penguin Style catalog there was a dragon, knight and princess costume for member Penguins, medieval backgrounds and a specialnote from the party committee about preparing for this party. The special costumes were for members only.
TreeTop Fort
This room was a special room that only appeared during the Medieval Party. It was a place to chill out and have fun. One fun feature was a hole in the tree where different colored Puffles would appear and make faces at you.
The 2009 Medieval Party
The 2009 edition of the Club Penguin Medieval Party will be held from May 8, 2009 through May 17, 2009. Club Penguin has only released a few details about the party but it looks to be as big, if not bigger than last year’s!
