Barcelona Tourism

“La Barca”. Now let me tell you one thing on Barcelona. It’s not only the dwelling of what several followers believe to be the greatest soccer teams of Spanish League. And I learned this only after my journey there this summer. This romantic city is almost certainly very under-rated as a hot tourist site. This has maybe worked out for the best because unlike other “notorious” tourist hot spots, this place is totally untouched by the horde of holiday-makers which, though helpful for the economy of the district, ruin the major intention of a vacation – “Getting away from the city for a quiet moment.” You can easily get to Barcelona Via Girona airpor,t inexpensively.

The first item I observed about the city was its very distinct design. You sincerely have to give acclaim to Antonio Gaudi for his matchless style and extremely distinctive creations. Gaudi was the Catalan Architect who more or less single handedly gave the city its distinct buildings. One thing that most impressed me about Barcelona is sheer amount of good hotels. And not just those cheesy cramped ones, but also the great comfortable historical hotels which can really enhance your stay. Your tour of Barcelona does not have to end at the steps of your hotel. Barcelona isn’t called “La Gran Encisera” – the Great Enchantress for nothing. With its medieval styled history and art, it’s a great destination spot for travelers, especially the history freaks. Several of the historical hotels are located in what is in the area identified as the Gothic Quarter. The beautiful streets are designed in a romantic gothic style and are lighted with street lamps designed in the same fashion. This makes the hotels’ locations very well-located for sight-seeing areas. Although a little heads up, if you plan your trip to Barcelona the off seasons, you can often bargain for a much better rate. I’ve known recurring tourists to get up to 40% off the suggested price. Do not be anxious to look for for a discount, talk to you receptionist.

As this is all fine for living in hotels, there’s also another aspect of living in the Barca- the Apartments. A typical apartment has all that you would hope for a secure stay. After spending some time in Spain, you would always intend to go back. But an apartment in Barcelona, either for sale or rent, can turn out to be your second home. Your accommodation in Barcelona also comprise of several extra benefits of holidays in Eastern Spain. Tons of good beaches close by, as well as facilities complete the so-called “Spanish Mediterranean experience”. In fact, there are many Barcelona apartments close to both the seashore and the famous Las Ramblas, combining the attraction of the sea with the stately historic heart of the city. And of course there are all the somewhat fairly priced bars and restaurants that you may find all over the city. But then again we wouldn’t anticipate any less of what is broadly claimed to be the funkiest town of Spain.
