Barcelona Easter

Earlier than the fourth century, christians celebrated “Pascha or else Pesach”, tailored from the Jews. Pesach was a celebration of the crucifixtion in addition to resurrection of Jesus, this was celebrated within spring. Many gentile christians did’nt want to recognize Jewish traditions but gradually, after the fourth century, Easter became an accepted holiday.

The calculations of their dates are difficult but Easter is celebrated on the first sunday proceeding the first full moon after the Spring Equinix (March 21st). Easter may be from March twenty second to April twenty fifth. In Western Christianity ,Easter characters the end of the forty days of Lent. During Lent, we fast and pray to plan for Easter, beginning Ash Wednesday and end on Easter Sunday. Easter has not fallen on March 22nd since 1818 and will not until 2285!
Easter also has a non religous side. During the 2nd century, Easter was at first a pagan event. When the christians seen many tribes were worshipping Eastre, they attempted to vary their faith to christianity. Over time, Eastre was changed to a christian celebration as well as named Easter. Easter in Barcelona is something special!
