Are You Listening God? Please Fix My XBox!
There is pretty much universal agreement in the XBox 360 gaming community of both the popularity and superior feature of the XBox 360. Since Microsoft first launched the XBox 360, the number of great games available for the platform has steadily increased.
It is also pretty well known inside the XBox 360 gaming community that all is not perfect. Since the much anticipated release of the initial XBox, the console has been plagued with several issues that end up causing the 3 Red Light Error. If you are reading this article, you know the one. When the game you’re playing freezes and you see 3 flashing red lights on the front of your XBox console, you know you’ve been struck by this problem.
This most likely means a hardware failure has occurred inside the XBox, usually because of overheating. When you overheat inside the XBox, you know you will have some damage to the internal components. This is what causes the 3 Red Light Error.
If you let your XBox cool down for an hour or so then power it back up and you still have 3 flashing red lights, you’ll know the damage is probably permanent. Before to lose it, you should always try to power down your XBox and wait a few hours to allow it to cool down. If when you power it back up you still see the 3 flashing red lights, you’re probably in need of a 3 red lights repair job.
While it may seem a bit complicated initially, repairing your own XBox is really not so hard. If you don’t mind popping open your XBox, there are several repair guides available (the best one EVER can be found here) that you can download and that take you step-by-step through the repair process. The biggest advantage of buying a guide and fixing your console yourself? You will be back to gaming in a fraction of the time it would take to send it out for repair! Of this, I am positive.
