A Guide to the World of Warcraft Shaman

Posted in Computer Games

In our world, shamans are the believers of another, more spiritual world. In the World of Warcraft, if played the right way, the shaman class can be a very powerful character. If you are thinking of choosing this character, then continue to read this guide on how to become a great WoW Shaman.

Finding a group that is in need of a Shaman or making sure that your own skills match well with this type of class is one of the most important things you should take a look at first before you start using the Shaman. First, you have to find a group that demands for you, for Shamans may become weak on their own. With a group, he can be a great asset.

Getting Started as a Shaman

This class is limited when starting out, for example, only the Dranei can be a Shaman for the Alliance. For the Horde, the Shaman could be limited to Orc, Trolls, the Undead or Tauren. Although you must learn to accept some of these races’ weaker points, they too have strengths that can be rather useful in the long run.

Shamans use their mana points to cast some spells. It is best to approach moderately, avoiding utilizing too much or too little. Each time you cast a spell, you lose mana points which makes it important that you know how to manage it. Failing to do so will decrease you health points, or worse, regenerate all throughout the game.

Learning healing spells is also quite important since Shamans are usually called upon to perform such spells especially within groups. Learn healing spells as much as you can since shamans are more useful in this area, especially in a group setting. Being an asset to your group is vital because you can draw protection from it.

How to pick a Shaman profession

Physically demanding professions ( blacksmith, leatherworker) are not ideal for this class. The best professions for shamans are herbalism and enchanting. Skinning can be useful too, but only to a small degree. Just remember to think of a right combination of primary and secondary professions.

You may consider herbalism and enchanting as you primary and secondary professions. You could also opt to mix alchemy with herbalism or enchanting and alchemy. You can also try mining as a secondary profession, but this requires extra time away from your game.

If you wish to create money, mixing potions is by far the best business for a Shaman. Devote more time on because this will help you to increase in skill and create more powerful spells and potions that will earn you more money and acclaim.

A tailoring profession may be useful, but not really ideal, for gamers most likely purchase their armors. In the fist place, you can only utilize leather armor until reach Level 40, and it won't cost you so much. During the journey, pieces of armors are given away as rewards. Therefore, it would be a good idea to focus on professions that can earn you more money and enhance your skills not only for yourself, but for the benefit of the group as well.
