The 2010 season has just kicked off and the hope around baseball fans is there for everyone to experience. Every Franchise has it’s own hopes of achieving the finals and gaining the MBL trophy. We take a glimpse at the Baltimore Orioles Franchise and how they have developed from a Franchise For Sale to a foremost franchise in the Major Leagues. Through this existing downturn there are many ways in which the franchises have had to modify their way of operating each Franchise. Each Franchise is managed in a different way but the core version of each Franchise is the same, this is the faith of functioning the club as a Home Based Franchise. Coach Hank Bauer was fired and was replaced by Earl Weaver, under the new manager the team captured 12 games in first place and ended the season in 2nd place with a brilliant record of 91-71 in 1968 season.

The team again captivated the ALCS and headed towards the World Series this time from Minnesota Twins. They obtained an excellent record from 1964 to 1983. They recorded a 20-season span through which they won seven division trophies, six pennants, and three World Series championships. Lou Gehrig’s kept an “unbreakable” record of 2139 successive games. Coach Earl Weaver revealed his retirement 15 winning seasons at the helm in 1982 season. Joe Altobelli became the new coach in the 1983 season.

In recent times the team has struggled on the field and is still in a rebuilding stage as the new season has just begun. Expectations this season are far greater then they have been with some veteran heads added to the squad.
